Robert Hunter PTO Newsletter- November 2019

October was another great month for Robert Hunter School and the PTO! This past month the PTO held our annual Walk-A-Thon on 10/10 where our children walked, danced and raised funds for our school! Over 200 children and their families had a blast at our Halloween Family Fun Night on 10/18, including games, arts & crafts, a dance party and a visit from Robbie Raccoon! We also held a very successful and fun Fall Book fair on 10/22-10/24. Many thanks to RH families for supporting our Fall flower sale, and the kick off of our Community Discount "Robbie Card" fundraiser. Last but not least, the RH PTO was very thrilled to initiate the installation and opening of our Outdoor Learning Classroom at the school! Students and staff have already been able to enjoy using the outdoor space, made possible by our communities generous donations! Many thanks to our students, families, and staff for supporting all of our programs and fundraisers, we look forward to another great month ahead! Sees Candy Sale- November 1-27th

New this year is our Sees Candy Sale! You can purchase delicious chocolates and candy while fundraising for our school. Cross off some holiday gifts from your shopping list all while supporting the PTO! Orders can be placed through Membership Toolkit HERE or order forms will be sent home shortly and are due by November 27th. Hammer & Stain Parents Night Out -

November 14th, 6:30-9:00pm

Registration is now open for our 1st RH PTO Parents Night out at Hammer and Stain! Grab some friends and join us for a fun night out, where you can create a 16 by 16 sign of your choice. Click HERE for more info and to sign up!

Picture Retake Day - November 14th

If you are interested in having your child's school pictures retaken please send them to school on November 14th with their original pictures. If your child was absent on picture day, order forms are available in the office or you can order online HERE. Please contact Kristen Boyce at kristenboyce1994@gmail.com with any questions.

RH Day at the Movies- "Frozen 2"

Date: November 23rd, Time: 10:00am

Location: Hillsborough Cinemas

Tickets are now for sale for the RH PTO Private Screening of Disney's Frozen 2!

$9 Ticket includes admission and $13 Ticket Includes admission, popcorn & a soda
The Concession stand will be open
Parents must accompany their children
Family & friends are welcome to attend!

A flyer was sent home and is available on virtual backpack. Please return ticket order form with payment in an envelope marked "PTO Movie" by Wednesday November 13th.

Holiday Helping Hands - November 20-26th

Holiday Helping Hands begins Wednesday November 20th during parent/teacher conferences. We will be stationed in the school lobby during all conferences on 11/20,11/21,11/25 and 11/26. Please take a moment to select a card from our tables and provide some holiday cheer to a RH family this holiday. We will have gift cards purchased through our Scrip program available to purchase right at the Helping Hands Table to make shopping for the gift even easier! Cash or check payments only!

RH Diversity Night- Friday January 10th, 6-8pm

Robert Hunter is proud to be a culturally diverse school, and we look forward to honoring and highlighting all of our different cultures!
